Valentine's Day flowers in Guatemala

Valentine’s Day flowers in Guatemala are sent on February 14, the same date as in the US, but the holiday is not quite the same one. Here it is called Día del Cariño, and it covers friendship and family affection as much as romance.

It is not only for couples

Guatemalans send flowers to their mother, sister, best friend and coworkers on February 14. If you are abroad and want to send something to a friend or a family member that day, it will be read as warmth, not as a romantic move — which is often exactly the problem people are trying to solve.

For a partner: red roses, boxes that open to reveal the arrangement, rose hearts and designs with chocolates, all in romantic arrangements. For everyone else: colorful gerbera daisies, sunflowers, or pink and lavender roses.

Reserve early

February 14 is one of two days a year when our capacity actually runs out. We take last-minute orders while slots remain, but we do not guarantee same-day delivery on February 14 itself, even though we offer it the rest of the year. Order about a week ahead and pick a delivery window.

Red roses sell out first, every single year, followed by premium boxes and designs with plush toys.

Sending from abroad

International orders are routine for us. We confirm the address with the recipient if you are unsure of it, write your card by hand, and send you a photo of the delivered arrangement. Prices run Q80 to Q2,900 in Guatemalan quetzales (GTQ), roughly $11 to $375.
