Mother’s Day in Guatemala falls on May 10 — a fixed calendar date, every year, whatever day of the week it lands on. It is not the second Sunday in May. If you are in the United States, your Mother’s Day and hers are almost always different days, and getting this wrong is the single most common mistake we see from senders abroad.

Mothers in Guatemala expect flowers on the 10th. A bouquet arriving on the US date reads as early or late rather than thoughtful, so set your reminder to the fixed date.

This is our busiest day of the year

Busier than February 14. Because the date is fixed, when it falls on a weekday the deliveries stack into office hours in the morning and home hours in the evening. Tell us where she will be and when and it goes smoothly.

Reserve about a week ahead. We take orders until capacity fills, but on May 10 we cannot guarantee same-day delivery or exact last-minute time windows.

What people send

Wrapped bouquets in pink, lavender and pastel roses are the classic. Orchids are for when you want it to last — an orchid in a glass sphere is still in the living room months later. Box and vase arrangements are the practical pick, since they arrive ready with no vase to find.

Ordering from the US

Most of our international orders on May 10 come from Guatemalans living abroad. We confirm the address with her if you do not have it exactly, write your card by hand in Spanish or English, and send you a photo of the delivered arrangement. Payment is in Guatemalan quetzales (GTQ); arrangements run about Q80 to Q2,900, roughly $11 to $375.
